Our buyers have just returned from Cersaie, in Bologna, Italy. Cersaie is one of the worlds biggest tile and stone shows (If not the biggest). Buyers from all over the world
amalgamate in the city of Bologna--and for a short while the city becomes international. All hotel rooms booked. It is one of the best places to find out what is hot in the world of kitchen, bath, tile and stone design.
Apparently, this year the look is clean and sleek--similar to a Japanese feel in design.
Dark neutral colors, simple lines, drama. One of the hottest stones currently is the basalto (shown above). It is a volcanic stone, extremely durable and rumored to have been used in the Dolce and Gabbana head offices in Milan.
