Cercan Tile is extremely honored to welcome our esteemed guests Renzo Tini and Luca Gnagnetti from Perugia , Italy. They are flying in from Italy specifically to host the presentations on "Semi-Precious Marble and Italian Design." Renzo Tini, owner of semi- precious marble quarries throughout the world, is renowned for producing the famed Blue Marble bathtub shown above. This bathtub is the only one of its kind in the world. It is 7 feet in diameter and took 45 days to hand carve out of a solid block of Azul Macauba marble.
Renzo, a modern day Indiana Jones, will discuss his travels throughout the world and the adventures he encountered while searching out some of the rarest semi precious marble quarries. He will also focus on current trends in Italian Design.
These presentations are a rare opportunity to meet Renzo Tini and Luca Gnagnetti , and to discuss all the latest Italian design trends and all the specifics of using and designing with semi precious marble.
Presentations are being held at Designers Walk in Toronto on Tuesday February 10, 2004 at 10:00 am, 1:00pm and 6:00 pm and in Michigan at the Michigan Design Center on Thursday February 12, 2004 at 1:00 pm, 3:30 pm and 7:00 pm.
